How to get the best from your Melts

  1. If you are using our tealight candles and mosaic melt burner, the perfect burn time is 5 hrs (this will enable the melt to use both the wax and oil blend evenly!
  2. Protect your melts when they are not in use (dust & dirt is not good for them)
  3. Ensure you are using the right type of Melt burner (it needs to enclose the tea light, be the right height and make sure the glass isn’t to thick) otherwise there won’t be enough generated for the melts.
  4. Ensure you use high quality tealights that burn clean and don’t have any nasties in them.

How to get the best from your Diffusers..

  1. The best thing about diffusers is that you can control the strength of the scent they release.
  2. When you want a stronger scent, simply take the diffuser and place it over a sink.
  3. Give the bottle a little twirl to mix up the oils.
  4. Pull out the reeds and rotate them.
  5. Its good to do this every week or when you want the scent to be stronger.
  6. Note: Don’t get the diffuser mix on any surfaces other than your sink.

Fragrance Oil

  1. These are synthetic in substance in that they are not formulated directly from plant origin. Having said this, many fragrance oils do contain a high percentage of essential oils.
  2. In general, fragrance oils work better in candles than essential oils, the reason being that many are fine-tuned for the type of wax, whereas essential oils are fixed in composition.
  3. The important consideration is that fragrance oils are no different to say a high quality designer perfume, so if you’re looking for a candle that produces a beautiful fragrance, then this is the oil to use for your candles.

Essential Oils

  1. Please note: Whilst some Essential oils may perform reasonably in candles, we do not recommend their use. The flash point, especially in Citrus type essential oils, is quiet low and with an ignition source a candle can easily catch on fire.Essential oils do tend to work quiet well in ‘melts’ whereby the heat source is coming from the tealight and not from the direct flame of the wick. For candle making we use Fragrance Oils only as they are much safer and designed for candles with a much larger variety. All essential oils due to their raw nature have a high flammability due to the oil content and we do not recommend the use of essential oils in candles. If you have any questions or concerns please contact us.
